How to get a food parcel

Our step-by-step guide to receiving emergency food from Dover foodbank

1. Speak to a referral agency

If you're facing challenges and require food assistance from Dover foodbank you must get a referral or food bank voucher from a registered agency, see below for our up-to-date list or download a copy now.

2. Visit our Shop

Once you have been referred the agency will send us your food voucher, we will then invite you to visit our shop in the Charlton centre, where a member of the team will sit with you to assess your requirements and create your personalised shopping list.

3. Shop for your food

Just like a regular shopping list, once you have your list from the team you are able to shop for your items from our instore shelves. When you have everything, you need our team will process your voucher at the checkout, we do have bags available, but you are also welcome to bring you own if you wish.

    You will leave the shop with sufficient nutrition for 3 days' worth of healthy balance meals for each member of your household.

    We have worked really hard to create a new shopping experience for you, this was all created to remove the stigma of using the foodbank and in store you will be met by warmth and compassion at all times.

  • Other ways we can help you

    As well as our shop in the centre of Dover we are able to pack and prepare your food parcel for collection at one of our distribution centres.
